Challenge #36 - Watercolors

Hi crafty friends! Amber here with Challenge #36.
Today I would like to challenge you to use watercolors!

Watercolors are so popular right now. And they come in so many forms - you really have no excuse for not joining us! Whether you use watercolor in pan, tube, liquid, pencil, or mist form I really would love to see what you create! If you don't own any then just go out and grab a 99 cent watercolor set from the school supply section. There, problem solved :)

Here's what I created:

I brushed some watercolor (from a tube) onto my stamp before stamping the tag on this card.

I spread yellow, blue, and tan watercolors on this layout:

And I used watercolor pencils on this card:

Erica colored this bold flower on her beautiful card:

Charity used Roseart watercolors to paint the peacock feathers on this Graphic 45 paper:

Kristy watercolored the yellow, red,and blue striped paper on the left of her layout:

Kyla used watercolor to mimic the sunset of the photo in her shadowbox:

And our fantabulous July guest designer Misty Buck painted this gorgeous background on her layout:

Please join us in this challenge! You have until 11:59 MDT on August 3rd to link up your project to be entered into this drawing.

Challenge #35 - Journaling Cards

Good morning, Paper Girl fans!!! Charity here. My turn to host the challenge.
While coming up with a theme I looked in my embellishment stash and found HOARDS of journaling cards. Apparently I collect them but don't actually use them.
So, Challenge # 35 is:
Use 3 or more Journaling Cards.
I took this one to heart and stiched an entire background of journaling cards.
(I have to get through that batch of cards SOMEHOW!)

Judy went with a Project Life layout.

Kristy stacked her shaped journaling cards in delightful layers.

Heather reminds us that journaling cards are perfect for dates too.

Kyla has another page of her smashbook to show us today.

Erica fanned out her journaling cards and will fill in the details later.

This month's Guest Designer is Misty Buck.
She has a fabulous double page layout with lots of details and fun stuff on her journaling cards.

I sure do love My Minds Eye products, and I've got a selection of them to send out to the winner of Challenge # 35! Just take a look at this:

That's some fun lookin' incentive. Now it's your turn!
You have until 11:59 MDT on July 20th to link up your project to be entered into this drawing.

The winner of Challenge #34 is Dawn! Congratulations! Please e-mail us at papergirlschallengeblog@gmail.com with your info and we will get your prize sent out.

July Guest Designer: Misty Buck

We hope everyone's summers are fun and full of activity. We thought it was about time to throw another Guest Designer into the mix for some fresh takes on our upcoming challenges. We'd like to take a moment to introduce this month's guest designer Misty Buck.

I think I must have been born with a creative heart. I need to be doing something with my hands at all the times or I don't feel like I'm accomplishing much. I have enjoyed scrapbooking and card making for the past 18 years but only really got into stamping about ten years ago!!! I earned my bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from the University of New Mexico. I now run my own small business from home and work at being a domestic goddess. I am married to my best friend and biggest supporter. We have four children (3 boys and a girl) who I am blessed to be able to stay at home with.  I love gardening and canning homemade jam...oh did I forget to mention I LOVE to stamp ;). I try to keep my blog, Li'l Buck's Creations, up to date with all my craftiness. So honored to be guesting for Paper Girls!

Thank you Misty for signing up! we can't wait to share your beautiful designs!

If you have interest in being a guest designer for the Paper Girls Challenge blog simply sign up through the linky on the right side bar of the blog.
