Challenge #94 - Celebrate

Michele here again. For our last PGCB challenge for the year, we'd like you to celebrate with us! Any kind of celebration will do - New Years, birthdays, graduations, you name it!

Challenge #94 - CELEBRATE

Please welcome back our guest designer for the month of December:

Diana M. Larson

I started blogging almost five years ago and have chatted, met, and been inspired by many of my peers.  Every month I have an ANYTHING GOES linky challenge on my blog, one entry per day, with a chance to win a prize. On the second and fourth of the month I offer themed challenges, with limited entries.  We have lots of fun with creative inspiration from my Design Team and from all the entries. This year I have introduced a line of crinkle ribbon, which some are custom colors that I have developed and I keep a formula book with my color combinations.  I love to experiment and try new things, I hope you will come visit my blog and be inspired. I also have an ETSY store ETSY.com/shop/DLART, where you can purchase the ribbons I make, twine and numerous hand made cards and jewelry. The name of my blog is DL.ART but the url is: http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com, I hope you will stop by and enter my challenges and be inspired.

Two years ago I started selling Close To My Heart products. I love the paper and stamps so it just seemed to fit with everything else I was doing along with teaching a few workshops a year and exhibiting my watercolor paintings and participating in art and craft fairs.  I will be here all month if you have any questions please come over to my blog all my contact info is at the top of my blog. I am also on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, and you can get feeds right to your e-mail every time I post, if you sign up for it.

Here's Diana's 'Celebrate' project:

Thank you so much for designing for us, Diana, especially during such a busy time of year!

Challenge #93 - Christmas

Hey everyone, Michele here with the next PGCB challenge. Christmas is coming and we hope you've been getting crafty!  If not, I hope our challenge this month will get you motivated!

Challenge #93 - CHRISTMAS

Please welcome our guest designer for the month of December:

Diana M. Larson

What an honor to be a guest designer for the Paper Girls Challenge Blog. The theme this month is “Christmas” - I love it!!!  I love to share what I create. If you like the ribbon or twine you see on
this project, you can order it from DL.ART.

I started blogging almost five years ago and have chatted, met, and been inspired by many of my peers.  Every month I have an ANYTHING GOES linky challenge on my blog, one entry per day, with a chance to win a prize. Here's Diana's beautiful Christmas project:

After I had photographed the box card I added twine to the sleigh. I used about 5-6 pieces of paper to create this. The file comes from SVGcuts.com. I used AC cardstock and MME. I love do 3D projects and multiples of anything. I added a brad for the door knob. These are so fun to make and give. I will be here all month, so I will see you for the next challenge!

And here are projects from the Paper Girls:

Michele
I created a small gift box out of a 12x12 sheet of card stock with a card to match.

So last weekend a friend and I did our Christmas baking
and this weekend I got to scrap about it.  Double the Christmas craft fun!

We did our annual tradition visiting Santa - probably our best visit yet.

I love wreaths, but I haven't had a chance to make one for our house this year.  After about an hour of curling leaves and another 3 of hot gluing them to make sure none of the ring was showing, I have a new wreath.  The best part about it, I can change the snowflakes and ribbon and make this wreath work for all seasons!

I decorated some tree forms using punched out circles and squares. They were perfect to pair with my new Nutcracker themed nutcrackers.

And now for our winner announcement!

The winner of Challenge #92 is entry #4 Julie O.!

Challenge #92 - Winter Sports

Welcome to our 2nd challenge in November...our Winter Sports Challenge.  Time to break out your favorite images of all things winter sports related and create a project.  Skating, sledding or skiing?  What is your favorite winter sport?  Mine might be drinking hot cocoa, watching skating, and scrapping, but I'm still a Southern California girl at heart.  :-D  I'm simply in love with all the fun Winter Sports cards and pages our Design Team created.  We can't wait to see yours too.  Since there are 5 Mondays in November, you will actually have an extra week (or until Dec 5th) to link your projects up with us.
Cheers! ~Kristy

Thanks again to our guest designer for the month of November --

I'm Lisa and I'm from the place where we have the weirdest weather in the country, Michigan!  Only here can you freeze one day and be sweltering the next!  I sometimes do use weather as the inspiration for my work, though most of it comes from music.  I'm a huge pop music fan but mostly 90s and 2000s, especially the boy band era.  I've been crafting since I was a child--I actually really don't ever remember NOT crafting!  My mom did craft shows and I would help her get the stuff ready and before I knew it I was making things myself.  Stamping is my first crafty love so I'm primarily a card maker though I do a bit of mixed media and jewelry making as well.

Challenge #91 - Stamps

It's November and time for challenge #91.
Amber here and this time I've chosen our challenge to be all about STAMPS.
Pull out your rubber, photopolymer, and/or acrylic stamps. No digital images. Just a real life, hold-it-in-your-hand stamp and some ink!

Here is a tag I created using lots of stamps:

I'm so in love with these Prima doll stamps and was recently rewatching the live action Cinderella movie and as she danced around the ballroom, I remembered the director talking about her dress being so heavy because it was layer after layer of tulle and stones and I thought, what an amazing tag that would be! The chandelier represents the ballroom Cinderella danced in.

PaperGirls #90 - Get Ready for Halloween!

Karrie here to tell you how much I love October because it brings Halloween!
If you love to celebrate Halloween too, show me how you get ready - make treat bags for the kiddos? Elaborate costumes or home decorations?  Cards?
I had fun using up some old rubons with mists, paint, and dollar store Halloween decorations to make my own wall hanging.

So let us see your creations!
If you do not celebrate - just make something with the halloween colours, black, orange, purple.

Once again, here is our guest designer for October, Gaylynn Martling
Hi, I’m Gaylynn and I enjoy making handmade cards, decorations and party related items.  Mixed media art is another interest of mine.  Making time to document my kids (now adults) and family life are things I want to catch up on.  I have a creative blog called Neat Nook Creations, where I post projects that I make along the way.

Here is what Gaylynn created for this challenge:

I like to include a handmade touch for our Halloween candy each year.  The theme for this week's challenge was the inspiration for these bat wraps. This shape was cut and scored from Cricut Artiste.  The cute face and funny sentiment were stamped in white craft ink, then heat embossed.  I added a sentiment tag and twine bow.  The colors are black and white. Small treats work best for this favor wrapper.

Be sure to visit Gaylynn's blog, Neat Nook Creations, because she is offering up a giveaway of her own right now for blog followers/commenters!! She's giving away this fun stamp:

...and a couple of the other DT members have been busy too!

Being a Florida girl and loving the tropical life is my inspiration for my project. This penguin card incorporates a few techniques.  The inside panel background was blended using Ranger distress ink pads and sponges.  The waves were made with a white Sharpie marker.  If you distress over the marker, it looks whiter.  I paper pieced the penguin and colored the rest with Copics. Then I trimmed and placed all three images on the background.  For a frame accent, I stamped and placed a diagonal panel.  Supplies include My Favorite Things stamps and dies from Blueprints 15, Penguins in Paradise and Diagonal background.

#88 - Sweater Weather

Hello Paper Girls,

This is Brittany and I'm here to host the second challenge of the month:

#87 - Sweater Weather

With the Fall Equinox just around the corner we know that the weather is changing, and that typically means cooler temperatures, crispy leaves, pumpkins, sweaters and other cozy, spicy goodies. So, what inspires you about the changing weather?

Our guest designer for the month of September, Kim Klinkovsky, shared this with us:

Who's ready for sweater weather? I love this time of year when the leaves are changing, the air is getting cooler, and you start seeing patterns of the season. I was inspired by the plaid sweaters you see this time of year and created this card with my sister with no stamping. We started with a red card base and a square punch. We punched out three different pattern papers from the same coordinating 6x6 pad by Authentique-Believe Collection. Adhered the squares in a pinwheel quilt pattern, added some colored adhesive pearls, buttons, bakers twine, and a tag sentiment. See what you can make with just a few supplies and a little imagination?

Thank you, Kim! We are so glad we had the chance to have you part of our team for the month!

Fall for me is a time of harvest for our family. We have fruit trees and grape vines that typically produce quite of bit of delicious happiness at this time of the year, so I created this layout to capture this event - and I couldn't resist but adding a few die cut pieces of sweater to add to the theme!

Here is how the rest of our talent design team interpreted this challenge:

October Afternoon Apple Cider collection had
the perfect cards to match with the sweet pic of DGS in his warm hoody.
