Challenge #117 - Snowmen!

Welcome back! We are thankful to those who took some time to enter our last challenge. We know this is a busy time of year and appreciate your continued participation. This next challenge is hopefully something that you have plenty of supplies on hand to use. So build, embellish a page, make a wintry card and make sure it has a SNOWMAN! None of us are tired of snow yet, right??

Embellished one of her pages from her December Daily from 2014 using Simple Stories Winter Wonderland collection.

Found some old wintry stash and revisited cute pic of my son's first snowman, in this mini album.

I created a card with a snowman from my scraps of the My Mind's Eye "Winter Wonderland" collection.

I made these little 4" x 4" cards trying to keep them as simple as possible to show off the adorable snowman stamp. I added a little glitter to the snowman to make it look like snow.

And now.... congrats to the winner of Challenge #116: Karen McAlpine !!!

Please send an e-mail within two weeks to papergirlschallengeblog@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Challenge #116- Grateful

Hi!  It's Kristy here, with this week's challenge.  Thanksgiving is Thursday here in the US.  It is a time to give thanks for all that we are grateful for.  What a perfect topic for our challenge this time.  Show us what you are grateful for...or make a card to give someone you grateful to.  Link them up by Dec 3rd to win a little prize from me to you.

Let's see the Grateful projects the Paper Girls created:

I'm grateful my family was able to get together to celebrate my 40th birthday earlier this year.

I found this title from Chickaniddy and the card made itself!
Perfect for my friend who needs a pick-me-up.

And now.... congrats to the winner of Challenge #115: 2amscrapper!!!

Please send an e-mail within two weeks to papergirlschallengeblog@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Challenge #115 - Tag You're It

Hello, crafty friends! Brittany here with the next Paper Girls Challenge!

#115 Tag, You're It!

We are challenging you to create a project using tags. Tags come in all shapes and sizes, and they can very easily add an extra element or take center stage in a project - so we want to see how you use them! In a card? In a layout? A mini album? Or, maybe, you have a few decorative gift tags you'd need to make? However you want to use them, we want to see all your projects! You have until Saturday, November 19th to link your project to this post!

To sweeten the incentive to get your projects done, this challenge is sponsored by The Greeting Farm! One participant will be selected to win a $25 gift certificate to use in their amazing online store! They have some of the most adorable images! The winner is going to have a blast picking out their prize!
The Greeting Farm - Rubber Stamps, Clear Stamps, and Dies.

I used this challenge to start creating holiday gift tags! My project uses various tags cut from my Cricut and then decorated with stamped images (The Greeting Farm) and matching chipboard stickers and paper.

So now, let's see what our inspirational design team has came up with for us:

I like using tags on my LO's for layering.  This time I also paired them with
teeny word stickers for this page about my friend and I.

Michele created some Christmas tags using the Simple Stories DIY Christmas collection.

I made a layout featuring tags as journaling spots, also as a place to highlight embellishments

I started some tags for a 12 Days of Christmas Project.

Amber made this mixed media tag.

And now.... congrats to the winner of Challenge #114: Kathy Schweinfurth !!!

Please send an e-mail within two weeks to papergirlschallengeblog@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Challenge #114 - Halloween

Hi everybody!
Halloween means a lot to me, this year my hubby and I are at our
20th Halloweenniversary!!
We're always up to something good and this year is no exception
we are heading to Mexico to celebrate.
So of course I want to see those Halloween projects, spooky, scary, cute... whatever bewitches you!

Here is my wall deco with a frame made by my better half.
Have lots of mixed media  built up on a cardboard piece, with  tissue paper, book pages, drywall tape, paste, stencils, mists and paint, stamps, stickers and die cuts, real feathers on the raven.

Here's what bootiful projects the other PaperGirls have to show you:

Amber decorated an 8"x8" wood panel to create some spooky decor. I collaged a bunch of Halloween papers and then layered up gesso, inks, and distress crayons.

Challenge #111 So You Think You Can Dance

Hello my fellow crafters and scrappers! Michele here with the next Paper Girls Challenge!

#111 So You Think You Can Dance

I chose this theme because my daughter loves her dance classes right now. I will never forget her first recital and it absolutely brought tears to my eyes to see her bravely perform on the big stage in front of an audience. If you know some dancing kids, perhaps you want to make a layout about a dance performance or just a time when they danced crazy in the house. Or pull out those ballerina stamps, papers and stickers and create a lovely card. I can't wait to see what you make!

Here's my scrapbook layout:

And check out these cute projects by the Paper Girls:

The song Hero by Mariah Carey is the one I always wanted for my daddy/daughter dance
at my wedding.  I still find meaning with the song in relation with my dad,
even though I didn't end up having a wedding.

I love this sweet ballerina card for a little dancer's birthday.

And now....
The winner of Challenge #110 is Lilian YF!

Challenge 110: Color Inspiration

Hello Again, it's Erica from Stamping Starlette. I'm excited to bring the next challenge to you this week. This summer has been filled with travel and fun stuff but that doesn't leave a whole lot of time to indulge in crafting. One of the design inspirations I use when I'm in a rut is those cool color palette images on pinterest.  That got me thinking... it's been a while since we've done a color challenge here at the Paper Girls Challenge! It was really hard to narrow it down, but I picked out something fresh and summery before we start on the fall themed challenges. Challenge: Work in everything in this color palette and link up!

Erica used watercolors and powdered pigment to bring in the colors from the inspiration photo.

Kristy pulled the colors into her project with cardstock and other printed papers.

Amber used mixed media and lots of fun layers to pull in the colors from the challenge.

Brittany watercolored her image and used cardstocks that fit the color scheme for the challenge.

You'll have a little extra time this month to create because of the extra Monday. We are excited to see what you have for us!

And now....
The winner of Challenge #109 is Sherri P!

Congratulations! Please send an e-mail within two weeks to papergirlschallengeblog@gmail.com to claim your prize.

Challenge 109: Washi It Up

Hello Paper Girls!!!

This is Brittany here to host our new challenge! Can you believe that it is August?! I'm not sure where the time has gone, but if you're anything like me you're trying to steal away a few minutes here and there to get some crafts in while you're trying to take advantage of these last few weeks of summer! Most of my projects have been simple or things that don't take a lot of time - and my favorite tool - WASHI! Seriously, washi tape is probably one of my favorite "go-to's" for quick, fun, and easy projects. And, really, how many of you have at least a dozen (or maybe 5 dozen) rolls sitting around just begging to be used???

So, these next couple weeks, I'm challenging you to use up that washi tape! Stretch your thinking and use it in ways you might not have tried before. Make banners, flags, flowers - or use it as a background for your projects. I can't wait to see what projects you come up with - I'm always looking for inspiration!

Here is the frame I created all with washi tape. The entire frame took me less than an hour from start to finish - and it was SUPER easy to make. With an all washi background, washi flowers and feathers, it is just enough color to make this a bold and fun gift.  Visit my blog for more details.

Here is what the other ladies on the design team created:

Made an 8x8 scrapbook page with an all washi background.

Used washi in background and for the clouds on her adorable card.

Accented her scrapbook page with washi tape.

Amber used several washi tapes on the front of her card.

Cathryn use washi to highlight her photo!

And now....
The winner of Challenge #108 is Barbara Greenberg!

Congratulations! Please send an e-mail within two weeks to papergirlschallengeblog@gmail.com to claim your prize.
