I was the little girl who used to make purses and envelopes out of notebook paper, tape, and staples. I moved on to study art in college and am back to making purses, envelopes, and all manner of things out of (ahem!) paper again. I love scrapbooking, card making and all other forms of paper crafts. They are projects that are easily finished in the course of a day even if that means ignoring housework for that day. I'm also a technique junky. I love to collect different ways to use all of my supplies. I teach various classes on stamping and paper crafting and I also work as a book keeper and have a husband and four crazy kids.

I have always loved family history and the stories that have been shared for generations within my family. But, I didn't start documenting my life stories until I got married in 2004. Now, there is rarely a day that goes by that I'm not creating something by hand to tell the stories of my family's daily life. Besides scrapbooking, I make cards and other paper crafts, but I really enjoy sewing and quilting. When I'm not crafting, I work full-time for a non-profit Research Institute in Seattle, but the rest of my free time is spent with my husband and three kids...preferably outdoors hiking or mountain biking!
I live in Ontario, Canada, and am a FT receptionist. My hubby and I enjoy travelling, motor-bikes, camping/boating, and I play beach and indoor volleyball. I started scrapping in 2001 when I made an album of our Dominican trip to my dad and step-mom’s wedding (read: an extremely basic album with rudimentary supplies – construction paper, glitter glue and stencils!)
In 2009 we made some changes at home, my hubby suggested I take the little bedroom for a craft room and I jumped at the idea! A few years later my son moved out and I expanded into his room. Then we redid the basement and now my space is a beautiful 11×20 room, packed tight and I can be found there most weekends.

Lori
Hello! My name is Lori and I am thrilled to be joining The Paper Girls Challenge design team! I live in a small town in SW Missouri with my husband of 30 years. We have 3 kids (29, 22, 20) and a granddaughter (6) who just started kindergarten this year. My family is my favorite thing to scrap. I started scrapbooking in 1998 when my sister bought me a Creating Keepsakes magazine. I fell in love with all the pretty paper and stickers and I haven't looked back since. I've got a pretty clean and simple scrappy style but once in a while I do love to add lots of layers to my projects. Along with scrapping traditionally, I also love to do Project Life, work in my Traveler's Notebooks, and card making. You can find me on my blog - My Happy Life and on Instagram @lori_670.
Alex
My name is Alex and I’m from Melbourne. I also go by PinkCraftyMama! I live with my Hubby of 19 years, am cautiously navigating the field of raising a teenage boy and wrangling two crazy cats. I love creating all-the-things! Scrapbooking is my passion since the storytelling and consequently memory keeping aspect is very close to my heart. I also love cardmaking and teach the odd class locally. Besides papercrafting, I enjoy quilting, baking and all things Jane Austen.

I started out in the crafty world doing cross-stitching. While I still love the number game of cross-stitching, I have fallen in love with papercrafting. As a stay-at-home-mom of 2 great kids (and wife to a wonderful man) in the "wilds" of Montana, I joined a card making group as a way to have a Mom's Night Out (much needed during the cold winter when everyone is stuck in doors all day!). In 2010, I started making scrapbook pages, and now I'm hooked. Now, playing with paper has become my sanity during some really crazy times in my life. One for which I'm very thankful for. I hope you enjoy playing along with our challenges!
