Challenge #192 - Winter Color Challenge

Hello! Heather here, and I'm so glad that I can share with you today's challenge. I love creating based off of color palettes and images. It's a great way to challenge yourself to use materials or items you normally wouldn't use, create during a rut, or just use up what you have.

Today challenge is all about winter colors, snowflakes, silver, and texture. Or not! It's all about how YOU read the color palette, the reference image, or both! Create something that is inspired by this image and/or color palette.

https://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-2499/

For this project, I combined both the image AND the color palette to create this card. I knew that I wanted to emphasize the texture of this card, so I started by embossing the dark blue cardstock with silver embossing powder. Once that was complete, I die cut the embossed piece, the snowflakes and the sentiment. Once this was complete, I added the burlap ribbon, glued down all of the pieces, and added an enamel dot for interest.

Hi and Happy New Year!  Welcome back to the PaperGirls Challenge Blog.
We do have a new challenge but first some announcements...
Unfortunately we are saying goodbye to some of the PaperGirls after
several years of dedication and beautiful creations!
We will sadly miss
Michele Duffy...
The good news is that leaves spots open on the Design Team for you!

Now on to the challenge.
It's Karrie here and our new challenge is exactly that ~ NEW!!
Showcase something new, your New Year's fun or resolutions,
use some new product (did Santa bring you some scrappy goodies?)
or try a new technique!  Lots of ways to go with this.
Here is my new grandbaby in the new Santa sleepers I got him for his first Christmas.
I also used new to me Echo Park papers and Pinkfresh diecuts.

The other PaperGirls have new ideas too!

Heather
I got a few new stamp and die sets during a few of the sales that were going on during the holiday season, and finally got some time to play with some of them. Here is my card using the Stamp Market Color Me Happy Stamp Bundle and some new (but an older collection) paper from Felicity Jane.

Erica
I decided to start the new year with a new bullet journal. I bought a new cover and some new stickers for my initials and the year and stamped the insert cover.

Brittany
I used an new stamp and a new stencil for this project to fit with the theme.
