Challenge #152 - Shapes

Welcome back to The Paper Girls Challenge blog! Our challenge for you today is to create something that is not a square or rectangle! Break out the die-cut machine, the manual cutters, or even those funky scissors that we all have somewhere in our crafty space! Or better yet, use up those oddly shaped papers that always looked amazing, but you might not have used yet.

Guest designer: Tone Jensen
I am 49 years old and I live in Norway nearby the capitol, Oslo. I live with my cohabiting Vidar and our son Daniel who are 18 years old. I also have a stepdaughter who is 32 years old.
I have always put photos in albums and start real scrapbooking in 2004. Now I make LO and cards, sometimes PL, AJ and ATC.
I do not know what style I have in crafting, I like to vary.
Inspiration I have to say that I get basically from net…both domestic and foreign.

Here is her take on the challenge:
I have used:- stencil from Dutch Doobadoo- paper from Maja Design- cheesecloth- various flowers - stamp from Papirdesign- spoon bought from a scrapping-friend- die-cut from Memory Box

Look at the beautiful details:

And now for some projects from the Paper Girls!

I used my Silhouette to create a fun and funky llama card! I used a cut file of a card that had a great llama image, and rather than using the card base it came with, I created a card back for it. Since the llama was a bit skinny, the sentiment space will be limited. Who could resist a great llama though?!

Challenge #151 - Friendship

Welcome back to The Paper Girls Challenge blog! This go round it is Erica bringing the theme of Friendship. I don't think we have ever done this theme in the last six years and it turns out to be quite fun. Who do you love to make cards for?? Your friends of course! I myself am moving this week so I foresee a bunch of thank you cards being made very soon. My friends have been so good to me. So now it is time to share your gratitude for your friends out there and show us your pages and cards with a Friendship theme!

Up first is our latest guest designer Deanne Saunders!

My name is Deanne Saunders. My hubby and I live in Paradise, Newfoundland Canada. I was an elementary teacher for 23 years but retired early. I am now an Early Childhood Educator (couldn’t stay away from the kiddies!!). I have always enjoyed playing with paper, scissors, glue, and
ESPECIALLY crayons and pencil crayons, ever since I’ve been a small child. I just couldn’t stop playing, so I continued by scrapbooking and card-making! I love it!!! My hubby calls me a paper hoarder. He just MAY be right, but I’d never tell him that!!! A man doesn’t need to know he’s right!!! haha!
I used a lot of the techniques on this card that  I love! I love paper piecing and I paper-pieced the friends clothes and the umbrella. Glitter is FUN!!! I also used a border punch and diecuts. Bugaboo digis are so cute, too!

And now for some projects from the Paper Girls!

It's fun to send a special card to a friend so I made a set for various occasions.
