Hello everyone, Brittany here to start off July with a big bang! Our next challenge is quite a blast - FIREWORKS!
All bad puns aside, July is usually filled with celebrations that fill the night sky with beautiful blasts of shimmer and color. I can't wait to see your beautiful projects sharing your love (or dislike even) of these explosive beauties.
To start this post of right, we have a beautiful project from our guest designer, Aimeslee Winans! Here is a little bit about her project and about herself:
"My card was inspired by the 16-year-old My Mind's Eye paper frame I used. I discovered that my A2-sized Darice Fireworks embossing folder would produce an image fitting into it, so I used them both, plus a spattering of Verve Visual's Starry Die stars and a Lawn Fawn sentiment banner die and sentiment stamp heat-embossed in gold ep. I smooshed my Memento Paris Dusk inkpad in the embossing folder before adding my paper to get the blue background. Then I ran a Brilliance Galaxy Gold Dewdrop pad over the raised fireworks and stars. I pulled out my red, yellow and gold Winks of Stellas for more color and sparkle, topping it all off with a clear Crafters Companion Sparkle Pen."
"I'm Aimeslee Winans. I am a passionate hobby artist living on the Texas Gulf Coast outside of Houston. I am retired after 30 years as a tax accountant. I've been married to a pretty great guy for over 3 decades who is also retired now and he's always been very supportive of my art. We have a wonderful adult daughter and son-in-love we are very proud of. My style is eclectic. I love just about any paper craft and my art motto is 'Color is my art oxygen.' (I love color!)."
Be sure to visit her at any of the following sites and show her some love!

Here are a few projects from our design team...
I couldn't resist creating these two sparkly cards for the 4th of July holiday here in the USA. A little heat embossing made the cards sparkle that much more.
I had an idea to try making a burst with glitter but it looked awful, remembered
I had this old Piggy Tales paper, perfect for Canada Day cards with some
Stickles and glitter ribbon instead!
And now...congratulations to the winner of Challenge #178:
Also, with a little help from Random.org, we are also delighted to announce our 2nd quarter winner for 2019:

Thanks so much for the opportunity to guest design. I enjoyed it thoroughly and thank y'all for also inspiring me to use that old paper frame I'd been hoarding. Brittany and Karrie 's cards are adorable and congrats to Jessica and Rebecca for their wins. xoxo
